Hello and welcome to the Valley East Boxing Club. We have set up a userfriendly website that should answer all of your questions and provide you with the information at the click of a button.

Before you continue to tour through our gym, we want you to know a few things about us and our great sport of Amateur Boxing.

At the Valley East Boxing Club we believe that in order for us to grow we need to provide you with a safe and friendly environment. Our Mission is to have everyone meeting their own personal goals and have a good time doing it.

If you were to join our gym these would be the things you could expect:
1. An extremely effective cardiovascular workout.
2. Proper instruction of all the fundamentals of Amateur Boxing.
3. Step by step guidance in performing proper techniques.
4. Strong supporters of RESPECT, SELF-ESTEEM, SELF-DISCIPLINE, and COMRADERY.

We have both males and females in our gym (see Members).
Our Coaches are all certified and have vast experience (see Members/Coaches).

Safety is a main issue in Amateur Boxing and there are many misconceptions about our sport, that we believe are stereotyped by the PROFESSIONAL industry.
We would like to clear some of these up for you:
1. Amateur Boxing isn't about KNOCKING your opponent out. (Less than 1% of amateur bouts end by KNOCKOUT)
2. Amateur Boxing uses a strict point scoring system in competition to prevent uncontrolled fighting. (The system is designed to keep punches clean and accurate)
3. Amateur Boxing is one of the most supervised amateur sports. (The Referee and Doctor at Ringside have the right to stop the bout at any point they feel necessary, this prevents injury and mismatching)
4. Everyone in Amateur Boxing must have a medical exam completed before competing. (Both before and after the competitions)
5. The Amateur Boxing equipment is also designed for extreme safety. (Competition gloves are 10oz. Boxing Canada Approved and are specially designed to cushion the impact of a punch)
6. Mouthpieces, groin protection, and for the female competitors a heavily padded chest protector are also mandatory pieces of equipment that must be worn in Amateur Boxing.

FEEL SAFE YET?

We at the Valley East Boxing Club want to have great success and produce some of the top Boxers in the world. With hard work and determination (and your help) we believe we can make it happen!

Thanks for your patients and now please feel free to take a good look through our gym.
Thanks for the support...... The Valley East Boxing Club
